As Seen on Cityline – Vow Renewal Inspiration

You have probably seen our contributing editor Jessica Mulroney sharing her fashion savvy-tips and chatting with host Tracy Moore on Cityline many times. Friends on and off screen, when Jessica learned that Tracy and her husband Lio’s 10 year wedding anniversary was coming up she started working with our experts to create the perfect celebration.

“So for the past year and a half, I’ve been scheming with Wedding Vacations by Sunwing to get her [Tracy] on a trip to do a vow renewal. “ – Jessica Mulroney

With the help of her friends at Wedding Vacations by Sunwing this incredibly sweet celebration started to come together. First we had to find the perfect place, a personal favourite resort of Jessica and many of our clients, Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa was the perfect fit. This resort offers a stunning sky terrace that’s private and romantic for the ceremony itself. Since Tracy and Lio wanted to include their kids in the celebration, this luxurious resort was the perfect pick because of its family friendly features like a splash park, spacious family suites, and a kids club.

Getting Ready

The morning of the big day all the girls got ready in the Bridal Suite at the Royal Spa onsite for some pre-ceremony pampering. Even Tracy’s young daughter got into vacation mode with a manicure perfect for little girls and some of her pretty braids touched up. They got their makeup and hair done before putting on their looks for the day from Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay. Tracy’s dress was a beautiful hand-beaded V-neck gown she found with a little help from Jessica. Ethereal but lightweight this gown was the perfect choice for a destination vow renewal. Eva’s cute dress featured some sparkly beading just like Mom’s with tonal stripes.

The boys relaxed in their suite where the donned their Hudson’s Bay Menswear ensembles and relaxed on the patio with some cool drinks. Lio’s modern and bright blue suit from Tombolini’s Zero Gravity collection was perfect for the heat with a lining-free design and lightweight fabrication. Sid’s suit from Lauren Ralph Lauren was perfectly dapper and contrasted nicely with Dad’s.

The Ceremony

Beautiful florals decorated the sky terrace and were hung at different lengths to create an incredible flower wall effect. With beautiful pillar candles, an elegant table with custom menus, and full floral bouquets, this ceremony space was private, romantic, and family-friendly.

Celebrating ten years of marriage on its own is an amazing milestone, but having the whole family together to celebrate made this celebration one to remember. The kids shared some loving words and pictures they had drawn for the special day. Jessica acted as the officiant and then all the family got to participate in the sand ceremony together.

“When we actually did it it’s one of the best memories I have with my family now. It was so beautiful to have my kids involved in this renewal ceremony.” – Tracy Moore

Happily Ever After (Again)

After a cute kiss,  a sparkling toast, and a live serenade the family cozied up to an elegant table to share a meal together. The family spend the rest of the week at the resort to relax and prolong the celebration.  If you didn’t catch the clip on Cityline you can watch some scenes from the vow renewal here.
